Alicia is a qualified teacher and was formerly Assistant Director of Studies at one of Britain’s best-known language schools. Originally from Argentina and a Spanish and English Bilingual national, she has been teaching Spanish and English and working as a translator since 1987. She has lived and worked in Argentina, Spain and the US.

experience

Alicia studied Modern Literature and Linguistics at the University of Buenos Aires where she obtained a Masters Degree. She has a second Masters degree in Spanish from the University of Virginia in the USA. Alicia also holds a TEFL qualification and has extensive experience teaching English to non-native speakers.

An enthusiastic linguist herself, Alicia speaks five languages and she is well acquainted
with all the academic and psychological obstacles to learning a foreign language. She has
taught general and business Spanish to learners of all abilities and ages, on both a group and one-to-one basis, and has successfully prepared her students for various examinations.

Aside from general adult and exam learners, Alicia’s client list includes the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office, Boots, prestigious ‘Magic Circle’ law firms Allen & Overy and Linklaters as well as a portfolio of insurance companies.

Alicia is bilingual Spanish and English and also speaks upper intermediate French, intermediate Italian and intermediate Portuguese.
